Monday June 12th. 7-9pm. Gays Against Guns and 20 partnering LGBTQ nightclubs welcome all to participate in a one year anniversary memorializing the 49 victims of the Orlando Pulse Nightclub massacre.

The Memorial will be a solemn and joyfully defiant experience as we remember the tragedy that brought the fight for gun violence prevention directly into our LGBTQ nightlife community.

The event is open to the public and will take place rain or shine. People are encouraged to dress in black to mourn the Pulse Nightclub victims.

Patrons of partnering bars will travel together to arrive outside The Stonewall Inn by 6:30 pm.

Vision: A flash mob of people flowing throughout the streets ultimately gathering to mourn the victims, celebrate our community, and demand our spaces remain safe from homophobia and gun violence.

The public is invited to meet up at partnering bars throughout New York City including The Stonewall Inn, 9th Ave Saloon, Henrietta Hudson, Cubbyhole, Julius, Phoenix, Rise, Mickey Spillane’s and others after the Memorial for community-building and drink specials.

Featured appearances include
– Pulse survivor Keinon Carter
– Lavender Light Gospel Choir
– Youth acapella group, Passing Notes
– Singer, Aaron Paul
– 49 “Human Beings” to memorialize each Pulse Nightclub victim
…and more

Gays Against Guns NY is an inclusive direct action group of LGBTQ people and their allies committed to nonviolently breaking the gun industry’s chain of death—investors, manufacturers, and the NRA and politicians who block safer gun laws. We are New York-based but work with GAG chapters in other cities to ensure safety for all individuals, particularly vulnerable communities such as people of color, LGBTQ people, women, people struggling with mental illness, and religious minorities.
