Volunteers Needed for Sunday Paintathon!

As many of you already know, NYC will be hosting this year’s Eastern Conference for Workplace Democracy -the longest running worker cooperative conference in the US. It is an ongoing tradition for the host city to create a Local Cooperative Showcase, that features some local cooperatives sharing their stories. For this Showcase, we will be creating an Interactive Historical Timeline, a painted canvas depicting different periods NYC worker cooperative history, from the late 19th century to today. The painted timeline will serve as an illustrated backdrop for our featured speakers and will create powerful visual representation NYC cooperative history building upon itself.

This next Sunday, June 4th from 11AM – 5PM join us for an afternoon of painting, free pizza, and community building. We will be working out of the People’s Puppet Guild Workshop in Gowanus Brooklyn. If the weather permits, we will be setting up tables outside next to the waterfront. Feel free to BYOB of beer, wine or refreshments.
